Media release from The McTimoney Association
Liz Carson, McTimoney Chiropractor and owner of the Carson Chiropractic and Sports Injury Clinic was delighted and staggered to receive a recent award from her fellow chiropractors. The award of ‘Chiropractor of the Year’ is a nominated award and was presented to Liz at the recent MCA annual conference.
Liz who owns the clinic in Haddenham said: “What an honour and complete surprise to receive this award. To be voted by your colleagues and peers is a huge tribute and I am thrilled to receive it.
Berni Martin, Chair of the MCA said: “To recognize Liz’s efforts on behalf of the MCA in advancing chiropractic whilst supporting and helping chiropractors to promote themselves as qualified, regulated and insured professionals is immense and we cannot thank her enough. This award goes some way to doing that and I hope helps show Liz how much we appreciate her efforts.”
The Carson Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic is owned and run by Liz in the beautiful village of Haddenham offering McTimoney Chiropractic treatment to anyone suffering from back and joint pain as well as sports enthusiasts, whether playing as professionals or for fun.
Liz discovered the enormous benefit of chiropractic care herself whilst playing volleyball at elite level. She was forced to retire from playing due to a knee injury so took up coaching where she encouraged her athletes to have regular chiropractic assessments to help prevent sports-related injuries and improve their athletic performance.
Whilst working as a volleyball coach Liz trained for 2 years in massage, sports and injury rehabilitation, which in turn fuelled her desire to become a chiropractor. Liz graduated with her BSc (Hons) in chiropractic after 6 years of study, winning the award for top clinical student, and opened the Carson Chiropractic Clinic in Haddenham in May 2008.
Liz was a Games Maker at the London 2012 Olympics supporting the Beach Volleyball teams, and is better known locally for her work with Aylesbury FC.
