Liz Carson is the initial founder of Carson Chiropractic and Spots Injury Clinic, although non-practising now, Liz continues to support the profession through her role as Chief Executive at the McTimoney Association.
Liz discovered the enormous benefit of chiropractic care whilst playing volleyball to international level. She was forced to retire from playing due to a knee injury so took up coaching where she encouraged her athletes to have regular chiropractic assessments to help prevent sports-related injuries and improve their athletic performance.
Whilst working as a volleyball coach Liz trained for 2 years in the field of remedial massage and sports injury rehabilitation, which in turn fueled her desire to become a chiropractor. Liz graduated with her BSc (Hons) in chiropractic after 6 years of study, winning the award for top clinical student, and opened the Carson Chiropractic Clinic in Haddenham in May 2008.
Liz was a Games Maker at the London 2012 Olympics supporting the Beach Volleyball teams and is a member of The Royal College of Chiropractors Sports Faculty. Liz’s research has also been published:
